"Different Tacos"
is comprised of previously un-released masters recorded and mixed during sessions for the first four Fabulous Thunderbirds albums, that were released by Chrysalis Records: The Fabulous Thunderbirds, What’s The Word, Butt’ Rockin’ and T-Bird Rhythm.

This compilation was produced by Denny Bruce, the producer of the bands first three LP’s and subsequent sessions that appear here. Included in the eight page liner booklet are early Bird’s photos, and as Margaret Moser wrote in her review "Denny Bruce, who produced the collection and steered the T-Birds (as manager) through their early years, provides remarkably hilarious commentary on the band in his liner notes."

He gives a lot of credit to Shreveport’s Bob Sullivan, who engineered the first two albums, as well as the "Live In Austin" tracks (cuts 6-13) for keeping the band’s sound "real". Bob Sullivan was an engineer at the "Louisiana Hayride" (doing Elvis first shows) and engineered Dale Hawkin's classic "Susie Q".
