This compilation was produced by Denny Bruce, the producer of the bands first three LPs and subsequent sessions that appear here. Included in the eight page liner booklet are early Birds photos, and as Margaret Moser wrote in her review "Denny Bruce, who produced the collection and steered the T-Birds (as manager) through their early years, provides remarkably hilarious commentary on the band in his liner notes." He gives a lot of credit to Shreveports Bob Sullivan, who engineered the first two albums, as well as the "Live In Austin" tracks (cuts 6-13) for keeping the bands sound "real". Bob Sullivan was an engineer at the "Louisiana Hayride" (doing Elvis first shows) and engineered Dale Hawkin's classic "Susie Q". "Mastered by Joe Gastwert HDCD" |
